In an effort to help guide our customers through mission critical IT decisions, we are pleased to offer you – DPACK – Dell’s Performance Analysis Collection Kit. DPACK is a lightweight, remote, and agentless collection tool that supports the monitoring of many servers into a single file. The tool is generally run for a period of 24 hours and will produce a file with an extension of .iokit. These files are small enough to return by email. Once processed you can share with your customers an in-depth view of their server performance and capacity requirements that are useful in making future IT decisions as it relates to their business’ key needs. DPACK supports the monitoring of Windows, Linux, or entire VMware clusters through vCenter.

Understand your Environment

DPACK runs agentless to gather core requirements such as disk IO, throughput, capacity and memory utilization. It also produces an in-depth view of server workload and capacity requirements. DPACK has the ability to generate two kinds of reports:

  • An aggregation of resource needs across disparate servers with a simulation of those workloads, from consolidated to shared resources
  • An in-depth individual server report to be used by IT administrators to search for potential bottlenecks or hotspots that need to be engineered out of a new design

With this tangible data, NWTG can help you look for ways to optimize your datacenter and plan for upcoming critical projects. Your company can be supplied with a detailed report with the resulting accumulated metrics. As your total solution partner, NWTG will work with you every step of the way to make the most impactful business decisions from the results. This simply-run program produces an output and critical IT solution recommendations that gives you the confidence and knowledge to make the right decisions for your business.
